Recently I perused the local car dealerships. The one vehicle that stood out -- a Jeep Cherokee for $89,999. If I had false teeth, they would have dropped.
I like to peruse local real estate and rental ads. Craig's List is about the only area 'classifieds' any more. I notice my list of area rentals have fewer and fewer. Some were nearly a month old and no new ones.
I reopened the list and noticed my top $ limit was set at $699/month. I changed that to $899/month and a half-dozen new listings showed up.
Prices for cars and rentals/real estate are unbelievable. Houses that sold for $60k 3 years ago are now selling for $180-200K. I have noticed several house prices have reduced $5-25K after mortgage rates hit 5%
