This would support the reading I have of the way PM Orban used the term: to say that he doesn't want Hungary to be a place where people of radically different, unassimilable nationalities try to dwell in the same space. Having lived in Hungary twice and learned the language, I knew that the word "race" was not the hot button/automatic trigger word it is in English AND that it had meaning beyond just genetics. Hungarians use "verseny" which does translate as "race" in English more broadly to also mean religion, culture, etc....and like I said, its not nearly the trigger word it is in English. They have no history of having Black people for example or colonies.
