14,000 to 23,000 years ago.

Tough time to be alive in Europe. Those years actually encompass the last Glacial Maximum.

Almost no evidence that European humans were cultivating their own food before 10,000 years ago, so staying alive meant 100% hunting and gathering for you and your family.

Any time a new group of humans wandered into your territory there was always the possibility that you would have to fight to the death to evict them.

I do not want to even think about cleanliness, food preparation, and bathroom habits.

How humans got from that life to our life in 2022 is one amazing story.

And remember we are still in a geologic age - the Quaternary characterized by cyclic continental glaciations. Key word is ‘cyclic’! So, it’s coming back, just a matter of when and puny man has nothing to with it nor can stop it.
