A three hit wonder group in the mid-80's.
Saw them in 85, and the shrieking from the girls was like a Beatles concert.

Bioshock Infinite (video game) did a version of this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAA_zE5a3JQ
In the game some people from the 1800s figured out hot to time travel, going forward in time and capturing the music and then reproducing it in the past.
The lyrics play into the game’s theme too.
It was so well placed in the game (you don’t hear the whole tune and some characters just hum it) that I didn’t even realize it was Everybody wants to Rule the world until about a third of the way into the game.

They’re back together and on the road, IIRC.

When Dennis Miller had a show on HBO, great show, this was his theme song.

What was that place in the middle of the video where he goes into some sort of shelter and hits some numbers on some sort of machine, and talks into some kind of communication device.
I know a pay phone, just joking, but if Fauci stated back in 85 that pay phones spread disease, he would have been laughed out of his job.

Love it. Thx for posting.

Great song, epitomizes the ‘80’s.
Gotta wonder why the video is set on I-10 through Banning/Palm Springs.

I don't have time to sit through some five minute YouTube video...is there a Freeper out there that can give us busy people a summary so that we can get on with our day?Why allow me to step up and provide that for you. Here you go...
Tears for Fears is also where Jerry Seinfeld's hairdo had its beginning.

A deceptively trick guitar solo in the middle.

Tears for Fears is also where Jerry Seinfeld's hairdo had its beginning I would call it a "poofed" up mullet, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Gotta wonder why the video is set on I-10 through Banning/Palm Springs. Maybe it was because their benefactor radio station 106.7 KROQ Pasadena/LA helped put them on the map.
This was the station that refused to play Madonna.

Love that riff!
I like many of their songs - a favorite is “Woman In Chains”
