Tragic. These types of storms can pop up out of nowhere.
In Fort Worth, we had an apocalyptic hail storm in early May 1996 during an annual outdoor park festival, Mayfest. The injuries were massive and damage to vehicles ran into the 100’s of millions.
Verified at least one person killed by direct contact.
Kitchen worker from Central America. Had never seen a hail storm, went out back and looked up…nailed him right on the forehead.
