I agree—MAGA conservatives are NOT all “rough and crude.” I don’t fit that mold at all: female, graduate school educated, mannered, frequent visitor to Napa wineries. And I even live in the SF Bay Area and work for the federal government! I don’t fit the mold of a MAGA conservative (other than being married and churchgoing) and there are millions of us.
At the risk of really pissing off some people, the operative word there is "all". And just to point out that there is nothing really wrong with being a bit "rough and crude" anyway. But it's better to acknowledge something like that because it does add credibility to the more important points made in the article.
I loved the Napa Valley area when I went decades ago. It was still getting ramped up. I remember going to Clos du Val, Mumm and Moët. Some restaurant there called Mustard’s was so good. A culinary academy was under construction.
