Three armed men attempted a home invasion of a residence in Texas. However, two of the home invaders never made it off the property because a 17-year-old blasted the alleged burglars with a shotgun.
Three armed men wearing masks broke into a home in east Harris County around 10:40 p.m. on Friday, police said. Inside the home were an adult female, a 12-year-old boy, and two 17-year-old males. One of the 17-year-old reacted to the break-in by grabbing a shotgun.
Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the 17-year-old fired several times and struck two of the suspects who allegedly broke into the home in Channelview – a suburb east of Houston.
Police found the two men unresponsive and suffering from gunshot wounds at the home. The two suspects were pronounced dead at the crime scene by emergency management personnel, the Harris County Sheriff's Office said.
The third suspect fled the home and drove away in a dark-colored four-door sedan.
None of the people already in the home were harmed.
The identities of the shooter, the deceased suspects, or the man who got away have yet to be revealed by authorities.

I was simply stating that in a lot of these cases this is one drug dealer trying to rob another.
But I am happy that bad guys died either way.

I have #4 buck in mine and slugs and 00 buck in the shell holder on the butt. Birdshot is for birds.
Shotguns do not have the safety mechanisms that hand guns have for being dropped (or falling over leaning against something), so it is best NOT to have a shell in the chamber even if the safety is on.
I have mine stored magazine full minus one (less stress on the spring), chamber empty, safety off.
More of this & maybe thugs will reconsider.

I don’t know about that. For full Biden honors one has to fire said double-barreled shotgun through the door, such that one doesn’t even have a positive ID of the target, let alone what is behind it.
I figured the same, less stress on the spring. So my Mossberg 590 is stored minus 3, alternating shot/slugs. Chamber empty, safety on, and due to California law (grandkids in and out of the home) I have a trigger lock but key accessible to me (CA law sucks).
Regardless, two thugs are dead.
Even if the shooter is not guiltless in regard to drugs, at least there are two less thugs left to wander around on the streets.
