Ok, so I took a slice of bread, a heaping tablespoon of peanut butter and a half a banana and made a half sandwich hotdog looking PB&B thing.
Perfect.
I knew a kid in elementary school who'd bring peanut butter and yogurt sandwiches. He was constantly mocked.
I'm sure his parents were hippies.
Forgot the sliced banana’s on them as well.

Ate pb&m sandwiches all my boyhood (1950s and 60s). But we were a Miracle Whip family so that is my preference over mayo.

My mother was a poor southerner but she never fed us that.
We did have mayonnaise sandwiches and tomato and mayonnaise sandwiches.
About 10 years ago a guy told me about grilled peanut butter and onion sandwiches which I thought sounded totally gross but I had to try it and they’re pretty good
Don’t know about this but the big thing was brown sugar coated butter, banana slices, and peanut butter

Reminds me of various ‘Alaska Breakfasts’. Fired bacon, followed by eggs fried in bacon fat, then pancakes fried in bacon fat, topped by peanut butter and fruit jam.
Either just plain white bread with mustard or Peanut butter with a slice of cheese. Mostly American cheese. Cheddar works also.

That’s me. PB, mayo (not salad dressing) and sharp cheddar cheese.
One sunny afternoon, he invited me into his house. No one was at home. He explained that this was usual.
He then proceeded to make a peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwich for himself, and he generously asked if I would like one.
I had never heard of such a thing.
He fixed one for both of us.
That's the only time I ever heard of this until now.
I always liked that boy. His name was Johnny. He was friendly and had a sunny way about him.

Grew up with this sandwich but we added lettuce. Yum.
