I've read that what the Israelites called "red hair" was most likely chestnut brown.
However, Leah might have had gray or blue-gray eyes. The Bible says she had "weak eyes," which some interpret to mean light colored. That was apparently considered unattractive in her culture. Her sister Rachel, the pretty one, had dark eyes.
