i guess the major Bass tournaments actually have tourney official on each boat thats competing...
It’s not just freshwater fishing tournaments, I fished an Offshore Kingfish Tournament in N.Florida one year, the money was so big cheating was almost guaranteed, everything from boats meeting up offshore to exchange fish, to lead weights and everything in-between, the tournment used an X-Ray machine to scan fish to catch lead weights in the belly of the fish.
Normally a fishing tournament crowd *isn’t* ugly?

Now that I watched the entire video it is even more hilarious.
There’s a rumor (that won’t die) that the 67-year-old record for a smallmouth bass (11-lb, 15-oz) involved a sinker or three, in no small part because it’s so much bigger than anything caught since. And the fact that the guy claimed to have caught it while trolling.
