You’re right. Regulations and sometimes tax structure are often geared to having big families even more difficult that it always is anyway.

Isn't this the forum that tells people on welfare to stop having kids if you can't afford them? Doesn't that apply to anyone/everyone? If you can't afford a van, stop at 3 kids, right? Or are we hypocrites?
