No, it’s been debunked - there is zero evidence for it.

There is more evidence that you are a 3 armed gypsy lady from Japan than there is for bio-weapons laboratories in Ukraine.

Yes, that’s also what you said about Putin’s communist rant attacking Western Civilization as evil from its inception, lies stating it started the slave trade, etc.

And where does the Russian elite send their kids? Why, the west naturally. The tin pot czar has no clothes but sadly some loving eyes will never see.

I don’t think you and I are using the same definition of the word “debunked”. Mine involves someone presenting proof that contradicts an assertion.

Present proof for your assertion.

Otherwise it’s similar to an assertion that you beat your wife

Listen, you can disagree with the idea that there are multiple us-funded bio weapons labs in Ukraine all you want, but what you don’t get to say is that the idea has been debunked, unless it has been debunked. And I mean debunked by something other than you woke up this morning and decided it was debunked.

“You rightfully lament someone using a leftist site. So why do you and other Z fans?”

First off, I have NEVER started a thread, linked or not.

Secondly, I have said on several occasions here on FR that propaganda is rife on both sides.

And I find it odd that so many alleged “American patriots” readily support a country that has been hostile to the United States and its interests for 100 years, except when it needs the United States (as it did in WWII after 1941’s Barbarossa).

I also find it amusing that the pro-Russia and pro-Putin FReepers who routinely vilified Western media (and not necessarily without good reason) will cite those same media when the story or article is favorable to their cause.

Do you think TASS is objective? Pravda? RT? Any .ru source?

You are pro-Russia vis-a-vis the war in Ukraine. I get that. Thus, you support the unwarranted invasion by a larger and stronger country of its smaller and weaker neighbor; you support a bully. I don’t.

Russia is a bully, and always has been. Hell, Russia is a classic bully: Insecure and paranoid. And bullies will continue to bully until they are stopped; and it usually doesn’t take a hell of a lot to stop them. Why? Because bullies are basically cowards, who prey on those smaller and weaker than they; and they don’t expect resistance, or the prospect of someone actually fighting back.

It’s as simple as that. If China invaded Russia based on similar flinty excuses as those propounded by Putin, I’d be supporting Russia. Why? Because China is a bigger bully than Russia, and China is a greater threat to the United States than Russia is.

I guess the two major bones of contention is I don’t trust our media or government whatsoever and I’m sympathetic to the Russian people in the Donbass who are the majority and desire to be part of Russia and I don’t consider Russia to be the Soviet union anymore or an existential threat to America baring nukes

I also believe the Ukrainian militias in particular have been brutal in that area since 2014 more so than the opposition at least that is what I believe given on all that I have researched over the years I do not believe Putin ever intended to occupy all of Ukraine

Nor do I believe he is an absolute dictator he can be removed and they do actually vote in Russia which considering how we have been lately is relative but I also believe in his most velvet dreams he would probably like to own imperial Russia but that’s not going to happen

I’ve also learned these former east European Soviet bloc entities love nothing more than killing each other anyway if you look at their history especially the first half of the last century and I don’t think we had any business there

Let them sort it out which means given Russia’s size they will probably prevail at some point

Can you dial it back a little bit...there’s too much common sense in that comment for the more-war crowd to handle.

If you go back and read news items about how Ukraine was pushing for NATO membership and stock up on weapons of war you can understand why Russia was not going to tolerate that.

I think Russians are not stupid. They know they can not occupy and control all of Ukraine. The main objective of war was an attempt to build a land buffer zone between Russia and NATO member Ukraine.

I am not a historian but I have read news articles claiming in some parts of Ukraine the majority speak Russian. That was probably the main objective by Russia, to get those areas join Russia, same as Crimea.

So in summary I do believe the war would end quickly id Biden stops sending borrowed tens of Billions to Ukraine.

Present proof for your statement that there are any bio weapons labs in Ukraine.

Any proof you got?

“I guess the two major bones of contention is I don’t trust our media or government whatsoever...”

Well, you’ll get no argument from me on that point.

“...and I’m sympathetic to the Russian people in the Donbass who are the majority and desire to be part of Russia...”

Then they should have allowed for the legal process to play out; that being the criteria set forth under the Ukrainian constitution. Under the Ukrainian constitution, such referenda are allowed, but subject to ALL Ukrainian citizens getting to vote on the issue, not just those in the affected areas. This was brought up back in 2014 and 2015, but Russia — the separatists’ sponsor — screamed FOUL!

“...and I don’t consider Russia to be the Soviet union anymore...”

Territorially, you’re right. But, for all practical purposes, Russia WAS the Soviet Union, because ALL decisions of the USSR came from Russia (specifically, Moscow). Russia (Moscow) was the heart and soul of the USSR. Putin was raised in and by the USSR; her was very much a part of the Soviet apparatus. He hasn’t changed.

“...or an existential threat to America baring nukes.”

Is that a typo? Did you mean “bearing” or “barring” instead? That makes a difference as to the meaning of the clause.

“I also believe the Ukrainian militias in particular have been brutal in that area since 2014...”

So have the local separatist militias and their allies, the Wagner Group. The Wagner Group first showed up in 2014, with the rise of the separatist movements, aided and abetted by Russia.

“...I do not believe Putin ever intended to occupy all of Ukraine.”

At the very least he intended to completely disarm (i.e., demilitarize) Ukraine, remove the Zelensky government and install a pro-Russian toady, who would do Russia’s bidding; and call the shots on any international business Ukraine contemplated. That would be de facto occupation and annexation.

“Nor do I believe he is an absolute dictator he can be removed and they do actually vote in Russia...”

The Germans ELECTED Adolf Hitler. The Iraqis ELECTED Saddam Hussein. The Soviet communists ELECTED Stalin. History is chock full of elected dictators.

Don’t try to deflect. I never said anything was debunked. You did. And falsely, apparently. But you’re so sure of it, and I’m curious why. The Mandela Effect?
