If I were Ukraine, I would want to destroy the bridge enough to prevent Russia from using it in the war, but where it would be relatively easy to fix if Ukraine gets Crimea back. Partisans and Russian freedom fighters know how to push a railroad rail out of allignment and a join enough to cause the train to derail. If the train was carrying inflammables they could be set afire. These methods were shown on line yesterday in detail. Also reports that this has been done 80 times to troop and armament trains.

What partisans and freedom fighters? You are basically justifying infrastructure terror right now. Was Osama bin Laden a freedom fighter based on the same criteria?

—”If I were Ukraine, I would want to destroy the bridge enough to prevent Russia from using it in the war,”

“When you surround an army, leave an outlet free. This does not mean that the enemy is to be allowed to escape.”

“The object, as Tu Mu puts it, is “to make him believe that there is a road to safety, and thus prevent his fighting with the courage of despair.” Tu Mu adds pleasantly: “After that, you may crush him.”
