Less than two months after the FDA used mouse data to give emergency use authorization to bivalent COVID-19 boosters, the real-world performance of the shots that target the ancestral strain and Omicron BA.4/5 subvariants is undermining the feds' one-size-fits-all messaging.
New preprint studies by researchers at Columbia University and Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center, not yet peer-reviewed, found that the bivalents showed no meaningful improvement over the original monovalent boosters that targeted the Wuhan strain alone.
CDC Director Rochelle Walensky got infected by COVID this past weekend, just a month after taking her bivalent booster. The new boosters are "formulated to better protect against" newer variants, she said when recommending them in September.
"Ironically, this is probably the peak vaccine efficacy (peak Ab)," University of California San Francisco epidemiologist Vinay Prasad wrote in his newsletter Wednesday, referring to Walensky's ill-timed breakthrough.
"Their entire vaccine policy seems to be interested in giving Pfizer and Moderna a perpetual market share for a yearly vaccine," he said. "But seems to have no interest in generating credible randomized control trial evidence to inform the public."
"[A]nyone billing these bivalent vaccines as 'better' or 'improved' is simply not telling the truth," Hawaii family physician Buzz Hollander wrote in his newsletter, which was picked up by RealClearScience.

The CDC and the FDA have committed a massive crime against humanity by advocating mRNA vaccines in children and people under 45.
The FDA and CDC are fully-owned subsidiaries of Big Pharma. The idea that they protect public health first and foremost is a joke. This is a big lesson of Covid.

Ny Supreme Court just ruled in favor of those who were fired for refusing the shots. They dec,are that the shots neither prevented covid or preve ted the transmission of covid. Last I read also, the shots only gave ,ike 11% “increased protection” agaisnt death for the elderly and sick with 4 or more comorbidities- while that might appeal to some of those In That category, the rest of society doesn’t need he shots as their risk of dying from covid is only like .3% or so overall, and the vaccine is likely to do nothing to I prove that any further, and may infsct cause increased risk of serious health problems from the vaccine itself. Kids have like a .002% chance of dying- in otherwords a near zero,chance of dying. So if the vaccines do not prevent either the virus or the spreading of the virus, and the vaccine is proving dangerous to kids, there is no justification at all for kids to take the vaccines.

Color me surprised
A year ago, I had to be vaccinated or couldn’t go to my partner’s family Thanksgiving dinner, They had a 1 year old baby and were a doctor and pediatric nurse, I reluctantly took the J&J shot and booster. Took extra Quercetin, zinc and Vitamin C for a week and had no pain or other symptoms from the shots. Will there be any J&J boosters this year? The parents, baby, and the other grandparents have all been sick with Covid.
I don’t think my partner or I have had Covid, or at least were not sick from it. I am 84 and very careful to mask when shopping and sanitize when I get home. If they try to insist I be vaccinated with Pfizer or Moderna if can’t get J&J how insistent should I be that they are more danger to me than I am to them?
Very insistent!!! But, we know that little munchkins and their parents are vectors for viruses...has been a part of life forever.
