The United States will stop developing nuclear-armed, sea-launched cruise missiles, according to new documents released by the Department of Defense (DOD).
The documents (pdf), released Thursday, stated that the United States will “retire the B83-1 gravity bomb,” and will “cancel the nuclear-armed Sea-Launched Cruise Missile (SLCM-N) program.”
During a news conference, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin faced questions about retiring the two programs, arguing that “our inventory of nuclear weapons is significant.”
“I do not believe this sends a message to Putin,” Austin told a reporter. “He understands what our capability is.”

Just cancel the entire nuclear submarine program, the Sea-Launched Cruise Missile (SLCM-N) program was one of the justifications for some of the latest nuclear submarines that were deploying, if I remember right this exact program was the justification for the sea wolf and the new Fast attack submarines.
The review confirmed previous reports that the Pentagon will retire the B83-1 gravity bomb and cancel the Sea-Launched Cruise Missile program. But the review endorses a controversial Trump-era naval weapon, the low-yield W76-2 submarine-launched nuclear warhead, which is described as providing “an important means to deter limited nuclear use.”
The communists who rule us with an iron fist have determined that a “weak” military cannot be restricted to our military men, women, LGBT, and XXXX personnel...
It must include any and all mechanical & electronic systems of defense & offense that “seem” to pose an unwanted threat to worldwide communism...
We have more important things to spend money on like entitlements and globo/warming/changing/climate-like stuff and illegals and homeless.
Bring back the TLAM-N program...from all platforms.

If you even believe Lloyd Austin has any real authority to do much of anything except let cross dressers join up. They aren’t getting rid of the bloomers which are one of our scariest deterrents. We only have three Sea Wolves if memory serves and they sure aren’t cancelling the Virginia class subs.
Just last week we had two boomers surface somewhere that’s exactly halfway between China and Russia. I can’t remember the exact spot. Anyway it was a reminder to everyone of who the big dog is. I highly doubt the order came from Lloyd Austin.

The Tomahawk missile was originally designed as a nuclear missile, and VLS was certified to launch it from cursers and destroyers. It’s all there, its all been developed, tested, and certified. Just go back to what we already have.
