Seems the trend now is to re-release studio albums in "expanded" editions that have all the original track plus a bunch of extra stuff.
Not too long ago, Fleetwood Mac released an 84-track reissue of "Tusk" - the original "Tusk" from 1979 has just 20 songs. Now that's one of my favorite albums of all time but expanding it to nearly 100 tracks including EIGHT different versions of "I Know I'm Not Wrong" is just CRAZY.
Beatles catalogue is getting the same treatment. UMe has to recoup their investment. Revolver was just reissued (again) in a massive box set with Alt takes and studio chatter. All this from an Album that probably didn’t have 30 minutes for two sides .
