I’m gonna kinda hijack a thread. Not directed at anyone in particular, just looking for opinions. I’m thinking about buying a new computer. I don’t game, but I stream a pretty good bit. Would buying a computer with a GPU be beneficial?
Yes. GPUs are also very good for video hardware encoding.
But you don’t need top of the line. A mid range last generation card will do fine.

I put NVIDIA GPU cards in all of our home computers.
Even a low end dedicated GPU card will usually give you much better graphics than the typical on-board GPU chips that come on most motherboards.
