to collect data about the casualties sustained
by the Russian military in Ukraine. These
numbers do not represent the actual death
toll since we can only review publicly
available reports - including social media
posts by relatives, reports in local media, and
statements of the local authorities. Also, the
number of soldiers missing in action or
captured is unknown.

“According to estimates of Russian journalists, which are based on official data, more than 100 mobilized Russian journalists have been killed since September 21. Every fifth person did not even reach the front.
Reports of the deaths of the mobilized began to arrive immediately after the draft, when they had not yet reached the front. The causes of deaths are fights, alcohol, drugs, suicides and accidents.
At the front, Russians, according to the publication, began to die in early October. In some cases, not only 9-10 days have passed from mobilization to death. Most of the dead were from the Urals.
Journalists counted the liquidated Russians according to media officials, documents and funeral reports in social networks. They note that, most likely, the real number of dead mobilized is much higher than their estimates.”
