The gastrin cells in the lin8ng of the stomach regulate the parietal cells in the fundus of the stomach to release stomach acid and intrinsic factor.
This is done by the g-cells releasing histamines into the bloodstream.
If you notice that you get congested after eating, that is a histamine response.
Solution- Do not eat for several hours before sleeping.
I sleep much better on an empty stomach.
I switched to the headgear that consists of two soft plugs that fit into the nose. Much more comfortable than face masks.
This is also a snoring remedy as they can make the mouth guard to kick your lower jaw out. This will open your airway and stop the snoring caused by the jaw dropping - which closes the airway.
WARNING!!! Before even considering this make absolutely sure that you can breath through and get enough air flow through your nose 100% of the time or you could be slowly suffocating yourself while you sleep!!! If you have allergies, septal deviation, badly healed broken nose, or a variety of other decreased airflow conditions don’t try this. Also, what he suggests does absolutely NOTHING to make central apnea better in any way. Central apnea means your brain does not signal your body to breathe when your CO2 level gets too high. The PAP machines force air in and can trigger a breath when your body is not working right.
Please be careful -— the life you save may be your own . . .
That’s more up my alley.
‘into the nose’ vs a plastic ninja turtle shell covering the whole face.
I’m told the dividing line for evening food consumption’starts at about 7 or 8pm.
That’s what I should be doing anyway. I won’t drop from hunger, I remind myself.
LMAO
Yep...
I use dreamwear nasal mask..
Minimal touching on the face, over the head hose...
Both of my parents had sleep apnea and used cpap machines. I’m 99% sure I have it too but haven’t been tested. I’m reluctant to get checked because it is impossible for me to sleep on my back or my side (and the testing is expensive), I’m belly DOWN all the time (just a slight head tilt to breathe). I can’t imagine wearing a mask in that position. Also, the wife says I’m restless and move a lot (and confirms I raise the rafters with my snoring). Does anyone else have these problems and have an effective treatment?
I am a RRT CPFT....means nothing to most here.
I know some things.......that person needs a Professional Sleep Study.
Those are called ‘nasal pillows.’
Demons too
Once you adjust to the CPAP, you should be able to slumber prone, supine, or on your side(s.) It is an adjustment for many, but ultimately, totally worth it.
And without my CPAP I wake up with completely clogged sinuses and spent the first 30 minutes of my day blowing snot out of my nose.
I was driving my husband to the orthodontist one morning. In the back seat were my great niece and twin great nephews. Somehow snoring came up. I had recorded my husband the night before snoring up a storm. He said, “I DON’T snore THAT loud.” So, I told him to grab my phone and go to recordings. He does that and holds the phone up to his ear to listen. WELL, it went over bluetooth and played LOUD inside the car!!! We ALL were going down the road laughing out loud and I was crying laughing!!! It was an accidental thing that now the kids get into the car and ask to play it and we laugh all over again!!!
Oh yes. Demons also. Demons and spiders. Boo!
Hate those POS.
Spent 1800 on 3 over the last 20 years.
I have one by dentuguard that works much better.
$30 bucks
Gotta remember to put it in the maw though.
I use that brand for after shave, excema care, hair gel and the occasional burn.
His description so closely matched my situation that I tried it. I report failure.
Ahahahahahahahaha!
