In certain translations yes. 1 Timothy 1:10 and 1 Corinthians 6:9. I’m not sure which version was published in 1946. It’s not clear to me that it’s a mistranslation.
Word didn’t even exist until 1868... Bible is very clear that the behavior is a sin, it is called out in both the old and new testament versus.
