I haven't been to meetings in quite a while, suppose that's not showing a lot of gratitude. My sponsor was a great guy, no nonsense , he was program all the way. He had been an artillery sergeant in Vietnam and took no shit. But he was what you might say a ''Renaissance Man. He was very well read, had a passion for science , history, politics(he was a rock ribbed conservative), art and astronomy. His father was in the USAAF in WW2 flying P40s in the China-India-Burma Campaign. His Dad went over to the air force when Truman created the separate branch. He was promoted to a LT. Colonel in Strategic Air Command. Paul lived with his dad and the family all over the US and Farnsworth in Britain. He passed away 6 years from brain cancer and I miss him. Check this out, his name was Paul McCartney.
