Can anyone help me understand that if there’s so much Fentanyl floating around to “kill the world many times over”, and it’s so widespread it’s killing tens of thousands per year from OD, why isn’t everyone dead? There are allegedly dozens of otherwise innocent children that dies every day and hundreds more addicts accidentally OD. Wouldn’t we be seeing a bigger impact to our population?!? The math isn’t adding up for me. Please advise.
Population of US = 320,000,000
Fentanyl Deaths = 100,000
Total us current deaths per year from all causes 3,384,000
Total Us Births per year 3,369,000
Annual legal immigration 1,000,000 per year ( 10 times fentanyl death rate)
current annual Illegal immigration 2,000,000 per yr ( 20x fentanyl death rate)
So current deaths from all causes exceeds births by 15,000 so
it’s over 23,000 years before we would hit a zero population.
That’s without immigration, legal or illegal.
