Guys. Desantis is one of us. A Reagan baby and crusader against the deep state. If Covid and the culture war stance doesn’t convince you, I don’t know what could. He built his own team and is not reliant on the national party. He has fans in every state as a base.
He also was a Freedom Caucus member in the House. If you are Trump or nothing you are going to lose and the country cannot recover. If you support Trump next time, fine. As long as you are willing to vote in the general if he is not the nominee. I would vote Trump in the general without any hesitation. MAGA is not a person. If it is, we’re pretty dumb picking an older senior citizen as the sole owner of the movement. You don’t think 100% of Biden’s support moved seamlessly to the next person?
Where does Desantis stand on interventionist foreign policy? On arming Ukraine? On making our daughters and granddaughters register for the draft (something McCain and Liz Cheney both pushed for)? Would he be like W Busn and John McCain - starting new wars - or like Trump, keeping us at peace so we can address our many problems at home?

2. DOJ experience
3. Career politician
4. Never worked outside government
If you saw those four items on someone's resume and didn't know who it was, you'd swear it fit the profile of a "Deep State" political operative to a T.
