The left sure does like the “Administrative State”. I wonder if they would like a conservative managing every aspect of their lives?

"The left sure does like the “Administrative State”."

It's the 'Philip Dru' effect. The Administrative State is the defining feature of what makes Progressivism different than Socialism. I would argue it's what makes progressives more dangerous - the most dangerous.

Audio or text of Philip Dru: Administrator

Socialism's defining feature is the rigid requirement that all of the means of production are owned by the government. - though they prefer to say it's "social ownership." Progressives do not require such ownership.

It's very easy to spot when the government comes in and steals your property. It's terribly difficult to understand what exactly is harassing you when ten thousand regulations are coming at you from five thousand regulatory bodies.

I cannot name one single American who can list every single alphabet soup agency that currently exists as a part of Administration that makes the rules over us. I do not believe such a person exists. It's too big.

They like the administrative state because it gives them a way around that annoying Constitution that limits their powers. They believe in rule by "experts."

Check out a really BAD novel called Philip Dru, Administrator for the "progressive view of the world.
