Problem for us is, among other things, education.
How many engineers and scientist can China and India field? A ton of them.
One of my employees was one of four people from our local university to graduate with a B.S. in Chemistry. He was American. The other three people were from Asia.
In my graduate materials engineering there were two Americans. I was one of them. The rest were Asian.
This is really a problem. And for as much as education costs us, more than any other country, this problem is not being fixed.
“How many engineers and scientist can China and India field? A ton of them”
Really?
You ever worked with Engineers from China or India or Russia or Pakistan?
They are stubborn morons who can’t function in a team environment. I’ve been on $Billion$ Dollar projects where for diversity’s sake plenty of foreigners were handed roles and almost every single of them were nightmares to work with. Not to mention the HR issues they brought.
These third world nations make junk and it’s because they skip multiple steps in the engineering, design, and production process. Quantity is never quality.
Communication and the ability to do it effectively with strong leadership is not something they are known for.
How many of them would be competent?
