What is with you. You say you are in your mid-20’s and a millionaire. Yet your screen name id’s you as having signed up with FR in 2004.

I’m not a math whiz but that works out to you having been around 5 years of age when you first joined. Really.

I can’t imagine how that would work. What 5-year-old has any conception of political thought?

And you survived through your teens and adolescence on FR without ever having been suspended or banned?

I’m 74 and have learned to question incongruencies, whether I like them or not.

It's no shock that you're not a "math whiz", because you sure as hell are not a reading comprehrnsion whiz. Go back and re-read what I wrote, SLOELY. You can apologize later.

I don't think that will help reading comprehension.

I’ve actually written fourteen. But those are the most recent ones and I put them on Amazon because getting published the traditional way as a newbie is almost impossible today. Publishers have sold the names of long-established and now dead authors to new writers because those names sell. Some of these dead authors now have more books in print than they originally authored while alive. The reason I gave up was I’d get agent responses saying things like, “The main character needs to be black and/or gay.” Sorry. Not gonna play. I just listened to an audio book on YouTube, and for no apparent plot reason the two main characters where a newly married male couple on their honeymoon. I only continued listening to see if there was some plot driven reason for them to be gay. There wasn’t.

Wow. It looks like you have the gift of a keen imagination together with a firm command of language. Completing a book would be a daunting task for most people. Is this a second career for you?

I went from engineering to my own company. While I had dozens of engineering proposals out, I started writing books. By the time that company failed, and I started another job, I had several book proposals out. But I’d already written the books because so many people can’t do that, and I wasn’t sure I could. Then I quit that engineering job and wrote six more books. By this time the market had changed so much it was impossible to get an agent. I wasn’t interested in doing the self-marketing necessary to make it on the internet, so I took another engineering job. In the meantime, I’d sold 57 articles, but if I wrote articles full time it would only have slowed down my starvation. I’m retired and have seven rentals. So, which career would writing be?

Thank you for sharing that! Sounds like you are crushing it!! I hope to have as many rentals as you’ve accumulated, but there’s NO WAY I’d manage tenants as you have. I’ll get a 7% fee property manager and just take less positive cash flow. You’re more man than I am. Also, will check out “Millionaire Next Door”! I totally believe your friends likely didn’t read your gift. I’ve handed out thousands of dollars in free advice, but it’s just lost. I now understand why Gurus charge for their education. It seems to be the only way to get some people to pay attention and invest in themselves.
