FDA attorney argues guidance against ivermectin for COVID was recommendation, 'not mandatory'

Ivermectin, an anti-parasitic, is approved by the federal government but not in treatment for COVID-19.

attorney for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration argued that the agency's guidance against taking ivermectin for COVID was "not mandatory" and a recommendation.

"The cited statements were not directives. They were not mandatory. They were recommendations. They said what parties should do," lawyer Isaac Belfer said during a federal court hearing in Texas earlier this month, The Epoch Times reported. "They did not say you may not do it, you must not do it. They did not say it’s prohibited or it’s unlawful. They also did not say that doctors may not prescribe ivermectin."

The hearing came in a case brought by three doctors who argued that the FDA's statements on ivermectin illegally interfered with their ability to prescribe drugs.

Didn’t several doctors lose their license for prescribing it?

For being a recommendation, health care and governmental organizations sure came down hard on physicians trying to prescribe it.

Recommendation not to use it, my ass.

The agencies that perform surveys take those recommendations as gospel. And the hospitals and clinics live in fear of surveys.

It would be interesting to see how many deficiencies were issued for failing to follow FDA/NDH/CDC guidance.

And regardless of whether deficiencies were issued, some protective laws that protects providers if they deviate from guidance would be helpful.

For all intents and purposes this Lawyer just LIED TO THE COURT and should be Jailed for Contempt then disbarred. Unfortunately it would take a Judge that actually Read and Understood the Oath they took

I know 5 people that used it. All of them better by the morning of the 3rd day, oddly enough.

One of them had access to free testing. Get tested and was negative.

One person said that they could not remember feeling better than they did after getting on Ivermectin.

Hospitals didn’t want it because they wouldn’t have been able to murder folks and make all that money.

Horse Hockey. Doctor’s, and others were targeted, verbally attacked, cancelled, threatened to have their licenses taken away for promoting the use of Ivermectin, even arrested and sent to jail for entering the Capitol Building on January 6th, a building that is owned by the American People, not just the Congress Critters who occupy it with our permission. This is more of the “we need to move on” bullshite being shoved down our throats.

Yes and for even talking about it. AND, the pharmacists across the country were forbidden from dispensing it. Plus people who talked about it were mocked as being crazy fir taking horse paste. What liars. How can we ever trust what a doctor says again.
