Gambling isn't important?

Was going to go to Vegas with some friends right before Covid hit.
Maybe I’ll have to make plans to go back there soon.

Las Vegas isn’t the Las Vegas of old. All it is now, is a shiny hole where morons go to get mugged and rolled. They even made it look like a dark New Yawk alley for the idiots that go there.

I’ve been there. Can’t really see why you’d go if you aren’t into gambling.
Gambling is against my religion - Mathematics of Probability and Statistics.

Liked Vegas when I stayed there in the early 90’s to work on the last underground nuke tests in Mercury and later Yucca Mountain. With the per dime and cheap food and rooms you could actually make a profit if you didn’t gamble.

The corporate casinos and state politicians are killing the Golden Goose of tourism in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas International airport has been renamed for a corrupt politician, the casinos gouge their customers, the homeless psychos are making camps on the strip and murdering tourists.
One thing that is noticable: Since the pandemic hoax, the customer base has changed from wealthy gamblers to thugs.
The area still has a lot going for it - no income tax, national parks, great winter climate but Las Vegas itself needs to right its ship if they want the previous tourists back.

The story is BS. Check Nevada Gaming Commission stats. While the number of visitors is down gaming revenues are at all time highs.

Used to go there a lot, but once they started charging for parking and then adding a ‘facility fee’ to hotel rooms, I was done. If I want to be nickel and dimed, I’ll go to Disney.

I don’t gamble to begin with, but even if I did, I would be saving any extra cash I had to pay for my heating bills.
