Social media, rather than creating a more interactive society, could be its undoing. Humans are not designed to interact at anything beyond the scope of a tribe / neighborhood. Are minds are not engineered for it.
Social media seems to have contributed to an outbreak of national neurosis. It amplifies every little issue into an emotional cauldron.
