Police are warning the public amid a spike in violent “bank jugging” robberies across Southern California as the holidays approach.
“Bank jugging” involves thieves staking out potential victims in bank parking lots and then following them to their next destination to rob them.
Popular shopping centers are prime areas for suspects searching for their next target, police said.
“These are dangerous crimes,” Lt. Derek Green with the Burbank Police Department told KTLA.

yeah......:)
LOL...
Interesting. These robbers seem to know that every bank and associated ATM machine has got something like 30 surveillance cameras. A smart robber would stake out at a distance with binoculars.
(note: this is not advice. Robbery is a crime and anywhere but California may get you shot).
The Glock ads on TV imply people are carrying and are safer than the unarmed and helpless ones.
An idea whose time has come.
The one place the leftist media shines is about local crime coverage. Crying neighbors, police lights whirling, a breathless local reporter with a crime scene behind them.
Maybe-——maybe the sleeping Americans will awaken.
P.S. I was told once that banks ceased having uniformed armed security guards because that lead to hostages and the killing of bank customers. Better to let them run out free.

Yeah, in fact in Southern California, Robbery gets you a free nite of lodging with a hot meal before you are released and out to do it all over again.....and again, and again. Pretty good gig if you can get it.

Yeah, it was better when the Dirty Harry Method of dealing with bank robbers was used. But those days are long gone.....”that’s mighty white of you” is a distant memory of better days.
Where did the term ‘Jugging’ come from.
It would be easier and clearer just to say the ‘victim was followed’.
Yet another unnecessary, tedious term for crime that supposedly ‘sounds cool’, i.e. Gaslighting and Catfishing.
so, ol’ fashioned highway robbery has made a comeback in kalifornia ...
“Jugging” should be countered with “plugging.”
...and don’t get me started on Gasfishing and Catlighting.
No problem.
Just shoot all Bank Parking Lot Loiters before leaving.
Get out of blue hives. Move to a red state.
Crime is a hobby in S. California.
“Get out of blue hives. Move to a red state.”
Needs to be a red county in a red state, but yes, moving anywhere in a red state means a short drive to a red county.
Crimes will stop when perps are hung from lamp posts.
"Jugging" just sounds silly to us old-timers who know what "jugs" really means.
Pretty big in Texas, Houston especially.

My son has a friend in Denver who was followed after a purchase in a gun store. He stopped for dinner and his car was broken into. Lucky he didn’t go straight home.
