Sadly, Mozilla is about as woke as Google.

DDG is not a browser ... it is a search engine that was OK in the past but is now compromised ...

I have Brave, Firefox, and Google Chrome installed on my Ubuntu Linux machines. They all update via the standard apt-get update/upgrade routines. Easy-peasy.

If you want real security get this and install it on a 128Gb stick. Or it can be installed to a larger external USB drive.

If you don’t tell us what shortcomings you’re finding in FF, you’ve given us absolutely ZERO information on which to base a considered response.

Brave (https://brave.com). It has all the bst features of Google Chrome (including support for Chrome browser extensions) without the Google spying.

I have no problems with FF when set up right. Adjust the security settings and add NoScript and Ghostery addons. And it will be as secure as you can get anywhere else.

The main thing is shut off the FireFox “Data collection and use” connection.

For top security I use TOR or an encrypted “Tails” stick which comes with TOR.

NoScript is the bomb that overrides everything no holds barred. But most are just too lazy to deal with it.

linux? I like Mint Cinnamon- looks a lot like windows- easy to update- fast- it is my online operating system- for windows programs, i still use windows 7 offline- although more and more programs will only run on windows 10 or better- so eventually I’ll have to hold my nose and get windows 10 which i will still keep offline-

I don’;t do much with linux mint other than email, web browsing, and basic computer stuff- so it’s fine for my needs- I tried ‘distro hopping’ for awhile, but windows mint is the one i settled on

I’ve been using Brave for the last few years, since Firefox went woke. Works well enough for me.
