If DeSantis is the nominee, I will vote for him, but my preference is for Trump. If itโ€™s anyone else, I will probably stay home.

Pretty much where I am at.

I refuse to vote anymore when the only choices are a Turd Sandwich and a Giant Douche.

I am confused.
Are you supporting DeSantis?

The formation of the Republican Party was a 3rd party, That 2rd party was able to replace the Whig Party.

The Whig Party was defunct by then. The new Republican Party formed from former Whigs, anti-Nebraska Democrats, and Free Soilers.

I believe there are many in the GOP who see Trump as a threat to the lobbyist pay for play money stream. They don’t want that stream to dry up because, when you look at it, money is more important than the needs of the American people.

A symptom of this pay-for-play industry is the total out-of-control Southern Border. The GOP needs this crisis so they have something to use against the Dems.

The border jumpers are today’s cotton picker—cheap labor for their friends who line their pockets as a reward for keeping the border open. Hence, the lip-service continues to keep the illusion going but doing nothing. In fact, the GOP who do nothing are in the same league as Marshall Herff Applewhite Jr. and the American people should forget Trump and climb into those bunk beds.

The Republican Party is also dying. Like the Whig Party before it. The people who made up the base, along with a percentage that made up the Whig Party itself, had found themselves at odds with the Whig Party on a single issue, mainly slavery. There may have been other issues, but slavery was the main issue.

We are now at the very same crossroad situation, only the issues the base & a percentage of the party finds themselves at odds are the direction, or lack of direction, they want the party to go forth when it comes to the sovereignty of this nation.

Some want to preserve that sovereignty, while some want to abrogate that sovereignty to a one world government.

Keep in mind the fact, that the Republican Party themselves are the ones who have publicly stated that they abhor the base. So, let's divorce them. They are a crooked, abusive partner anyway. So, we might as well leave them behind. For anyone who has the stupidity to alienate such a large percentage of their own base, drives home the fact that they have indeed earned the moniker they have been adorned with for many decades, The Stupid Party.

Doesn't mean we can't join forces with them like the Independent Party joins the Democrat Party. It just means that both parties will need to rely on each other to overcome the Democrats & Independents.

Still an ahistorical analogy!

If (and that’s a big ‘IF’!) a future civil war occurs, it will NOT be like the 1861-1865 “Late Unpleasantness”! Issues are different but more importantly it won’t be a regional conflict no state-vs-state it will be urban-vs-rural. The closest historical analogs I can come up with is various revolts against the central government in China.

No good will come of it.

Quite frankly, is everyone aware that the Democrats and their voting methods control around 260+ Electoral College votes, before any election even starts?

A Republican in 2024 has to win AZ, GA, and WI - all of them - to win the Presidency.

Or ballot harvest CA back - whichever they think is easier. /s

Not going to win Arizona, probably not Georgia or Wisconsin. And to think that both Georgia and Wisconsin have strong, almost veto proof Republican majorities. And they still do nothing bout the cheating

A new party might work better as the RINO squishes let the Dems destroy their brand with almost half the voters, smearing them with racism and all the other -ists and -phobes. The new party will have to fight back against the lies and smears that are sure to come.

It certainly is better than continuing with a party that really does not have the best interest of anyone other than themselves and their families, at least in my book at any rate. ๐Ÿ™‚

We need more lawyers turned career politicians, not leaders!

Wake up!

Don’t be confused. I was being facetious.

They sure proved it last week. You are right, they hate us and we hate them.
