Trump was the first president since Ronald Reagan (or some would argue, since earlier than that) who seemed to appreciate the dangers of unaccountable, unlimited, deep-state government. And I’m willing to bet he’d appreciate those dangers a lot more in a second term, having fallen victim to them himself in the 2020 election.

But, despite the obvious differences, we’re heading for a 1912-repeat, in which the Republican Party ignores its own voters. The Republican machine has no intention of letting us choose Trump again: He is not a uniparty team player. They’d rather lose an election to the Democrats, their brothers in crime, than win with Trump.

That's why I continue to support Trump, and every one should continue to do the same also.

If you want more of the same, by all means vote for DeSantis. You will get what you deserve , more of the same. I desire real change, not more of the same.

Me, I’m voting for the better of two evils, because that’s worked out so well for America during the past 40 years.

We need lawyers turned career politicians, not leaders!

Wake up!

by all means vote for DeSantis.

Why? Is he running for some office?

Are you scared that he might run for something?

If you're scared, say you're scared.

The days of the nominee being selected in some smoky backroom are over. The voters will decide in the primaries between the candidates.

Trump was president for four years. Why are things "the same" now, and how would Trump change them in his second term?

We just saw that in Arizona and Georgia.

It was TR’s fault - he declared that he would not run for a second full term in 1912 - he realized he made a mistake with that promise and the GOP held him to it.

The people are never given the choice of voting for a platform that gives them exactly what they want: social conservatism and the interventionist state. Instead, the center-Left offers an interventionist state combined with social liberalism. The center-Right offers social conservatism combined with pro-business policies.

Given this setup, you’d think that as the Left and Right trade power, the people would get at least half of what they want all the time. But somehow it doesn’t work out that way.

When the Left is in power, it is more effective at delivering the half of its platform favored by the elites: social liberalism. When the Right is in power, it is also more effective at delivering the half of its platform favored by the elites: tax cuts for the rich, free trade, open borders, etc.

A system in which the majority get none of what they want, all the time cannot be seriously described as a democracy.

If TR had had Twitter and a YouTube channel, the Bull Moose Party would still be in power.

"That's why I continue to support Trump, and every one should continue to do the same also."

Too many people are willing to accept things the way they are. They will hold their nose, and vote for the asshole Republicans just to keep the seat Republican. That's why the GOP will never be reformed. When you mention third party, they whine that a third party would have no chance. The Republican Party was organized out of other parties when it was started back in 1854. If they hadn't taken a chance in 1854, despite losing with their Presidential Candidate John C. Fremont, Abe Lincoln never would have become President. If you don't even try, you have no right to say it will fail. I'd rather try and fail, than never to have tried at all.

This sounds like the first step toward much of the Republican base’s protesting in 2024 by staying home and not voting at all. That kind of passivity will only make things worse.

I’m voting GEOTUS Trump, if they disqualify him or whatever. I’m going to write him in.

Quite frankly, is everyone aware that the Democrats and their voting methods control around 260+ Electoral College votes, before any election even starts?

Are Michigan and Pennsylvania, Battle Ground States? Not anymore as Democrats have complete control of both states. So, however many EC votes they have go to the Democrat.

Simple facts.

If DeSantis is the nominee, I will vote for him, but my preference is for Trump. If it’s anyone else, I will probably stay home.
