I actually read somewhere that they all got along well & were friends. Am I incorrect?

I don't know. It's possible that they made amends eventually.

Interesting. Underneath hatred is an inferiority complex. Proof: “We were copied by so many bands, principally by Led Zeppelin.” Townsend’s inferiority complex moves him to conclude that Led Zeppelin copied him. Silly. Both bands are fine. And hating Madonna is easy, since she flirts to sell. All musicians needs to acknowledge that sculpture and poetry are more difficult art forms.

Keiths hatred for Elton had to do with a 1975 concert where Mick invited Elton onstage for a song and he stayed for three until Richards kicked him off.

Small anecdote. While in college one class was one of the first involved with digital photography. We did a field trip to Graham Nash’s photolab. Can’t say I much followed his career before or after but it was interesting to see one of my dad’s favorite musicians at work in a lab immersed in computers and an assortment of torn apart printers and scanners.

Not a feud but a good story: Bob Dylan hoped he could get Frank Zappa to produce an album for him so he came over to visit. Zappa’s dog was wildly barking and snarling at the visitor so much Dylan couldn’t cope so had to leave. “What’s with that dog?”
Zappa: “My dog hates Christians.”
/////////////////////////////////////
Keith Richards on Bob Dylan: “He always finds ways to guide all the money streams toward him. He is the prophet of profits.”

For me... Ringo was the most congenial of the group, but I was more of a Yardbirds listener.

The Stones were terrible in concert.

Who’s Next was The Who at their best.

Link Ray nailed it.

Grunge? I recognize maybe 4 songs.

Yngwie is strange

Anything from Mike Varney’s Shrapnel Records was an eye opener.

i thought Ringo was excellent with his solo stuff....Led Zeppelin were awful the one time i saw them live...they rearranged some songs to the point of being almost unrecognizable ...went way too bluesy. The show just seemed to “drag” on....i saw the Sabbath/Van Halen tour in 1978...you could see and hear a def changing of the “guard”. Sabbath seemed old and plodding, were way too loud...Van Halen was crystal clear and a ball of energy and wiped the floor with Sabbath that night...

There’s a Weird Al documentary on ROKU. Everyone hated him. Watching and you’ll see. It’s the best documentary I’ve ever seen.

At least Led Zeppelin had the sense to bow out gracefully when they lost their drummer.

That's gonna leave a mark.

Well, Joni Mitchell’s take on Madonna doesn’t sound irrational at all.

Yep, have to agree with Joni.

That's the one thing about the Stones that ticks me off. WTF is Taylor Swift doing onstage with the Stones, that's just wrong.

Ya, the only Taylor who should be onstage with the Stones is Mick.

Mitchell could never sing “Borderline” like Madonna did. Madonna also had a great rock song early in her career but I never heard it’s name. only heard it in what appeared to be night club like film clip.

I think Mitchell was highly overrated, good but not great like Judy Collins who had the voice of an angel Saw her close up in person. Really enjoyed her voice mastery of the music).
