This reads a little weird, but 33% of people dropped out of the study, leaving a smaller final proportion of Atkins with drugs versus drugs alone.

I believe the second to the last paragraph should read, “…researchers found that the 26% of people who had both…”

I’m really tired of the keto ‘diet’ blather. But even though these researchers appear to be quite disconnected, it’s good to see a post about keto applicable to its only proven use as a therapy.

My son has epilepsy and is on keto. He was able to wean off his medicine completely for six months, but the doctor wanted him back on the lowest therapeutic dose because of his being college-age and not always eating or sleeping great.

Anyway, it has worked very well for him. He has had no seizures in 5 years. He does have to eat carbs periodically so he doesn’t lose too much weight.
