We’ll have to wait, and then only possibly learn, what took place. Doesn’t sound as if he was killed because he was messing around with the guy’s car; there was a “confrontation”, the nature of which has not been described. Being surrounded by three thugs who’ve declared their intent to beat the hell out of or kill someone would in my view justifiably elicit a deadly response.
When I think back on being 13 years old, I have to wonder what kind of upbringing this kid had.
No, on second thought, I don’t really have to wonder.
Imagine the howling if someone swiped his sneakers!
But anyone else’s stuff is fair game.
13 years old and out at 4AM?
The thief obviously valued that car more than his own life.
Good shoot.
Caught at the point of offense by the rightful owner? Yes. Without question...
Tossing car interiors for cash and phones is an intramural sport in DC. These “outraged” parents completely accept this as normal harmless teenage behavior… ‘he’s a good boy’. They also accept grand theft auto as normal and only slightly disapprove of carjacking, but only if the jacker gets hurt.
30 years ago, I lived in a not-so-horrible part of the city of Atlanta. It was common knowledge not to lock your car doors, and not leave anything you couldn’t lose inside your car or trunk. The best you could hope for is not having to replace a side window.
yup, i used to live on STX and Trailerpark Badass post#147 is right...
