Not to worry! The USGS assures us that solar activity has nothing to do with earthquakes and weather.Ben Davidson at Suspicious0bservers would disagree. A flare that big often triggers an earthquake 2 to 3 days later.

I come to no conclusions until AOC gives America her thoughts and feelings.

What are the odds that THIS solar flare just happens to hit Joey Biden’s Prized Corvette, starts a fire in his TS/SCI storage garage, and burns up all the evidence?
I’d say about EVEN MONEY!!

I trust you and I did not mean to dismiss it all. If you checked my posting history I often say that a solar flare or storm is a far more likely scenario than an EMP to take out our electrical grid.
We have had some pretty strong ones in the last few decades (and before I am sure) after I became aware of the risk and I was not aware of the US losing satellites and you taught me something - not sure how I missed this (link below).

That was not cheap!!!! Hope our military satellites are more hardened than the Starlink ones were.

It is not the EMP hardening, it is the orbit. Low Earth Orbit is most susceptible to the physical effects of solar storms.

Makes sense and thanks for the education on it. I have been reading more about this.

Paywall, so is the Times the only one covering such events?
Guess I’ll have to look.
