This is the Svengoolie tonight. Man this movie was a big staple of the afternoon 70's movie shows.

Julia Adams of this movie lived into her 90's.

Now that I look back Spielberg ripped off the scene for the first scene of Jaws.

I remember seeing this movie at the theater at the age of 7 with my siblings, and then seeing the two sequels when they came out. I can’t remember how much it cost at that time, but I do remember at some point, it cost 15 cents to get in. My mother gave each of us a quarter, and we’d have 10 cents left over to get a box of popcorn.

No one ever could explain to me why the Creature was interested in the girl.

From his view point she must have looked not only odd but down right horrifying.

Something like we would feel if we saw people running around with no skin.

There were two actors who portrayed the Creature. For the land shots, Ben Chapman played the role. For the underwater scenes, Ricou Browning starred. Browning is still alive, and was making appearances at comic book shows. I think my youngest son got his autograph at a Horror Hound convention in Indianapolis 5 or 6 years ago.
