WASHINGTON – A top military commander said Monday the US had not detected previous incursions by Chinese spy balloons as they took place during the Trump administration – raising troubling questions about the security of US airspace.
“Every day as NORAD commander, it’s my responsibility to detect threats to North America,” Air Force Gen. Glen D. VanHerck of the North American Aerospace Defense Command told reporters. “I will tell you that we did not detect those [previous] threats. And that’s a domain awareness gap that we have to figure out.”
VanHerck spoke after a massive Chinese surveillance craft was allowed to cruise across the country for days — taking in sensitive military sites along the way — before it was shot down by an Air Force F-22 jet off the coast of South Carolina on Saturday.
Soon after the shootdown, an anonymous senior defense official told reporters that similar Chinese balloons “transited the continental United States briefly at least three times during the prior administration and once that we know of at the beginning of this administration.”

WTH! How does NORAD know that they missed balloon flights during President Trumps tenure? If NORAD is aware NOW that they missed some balloons back then.....Then who told NORAD about the balloons?

How do they know that three balloons entered US air space if no one ever saw them? How stupid do they think we are?
This is nonsensical, only three possibilities exist for this scenario. NORAD is incompetent and missed the earlier balloons, the balloons were detected and their existence was deliberately hidden or these previous balloon incursions were a lie. Heads should roll in any case.
So they did not detect them yet they know they were there? Okay...

I find this hard to believe. No airline pilots observed these balloons.

The Intel Community,....that’s pretty broad? The majority of the “intel community” doesn’t have access to air traffic radar. And the balloons didn’t have transponders, hence, a “spy” balloon. AT controllers might have seen but would have reported a UFO in air traffic and all hell should have broken lose.
This makes no sense.
Lies. They knew.
The brass didn’t tell President Trump about it because they knew he’d order the balloons shot down. Their true chain of command led then and leads now to Obama and the Deep State, which is partnering with China.
They couldn’t upset their real Masters now, could they?
