This is very confusing. Where is he now. In Mexico or NC? Would they have let him leave Mexico with a sentence pending? And if he is in the US then will he go back to serve his sentence?
He’s in North Carolina. As best as I can tell, he was given a promise to appear and sentenced in absence. If he ever returns to Mexico, he might then be required to serve his sentence.
Maybe Cancun will lure him with a discount weekend package.
I am pretty sure if you look in the Mexican version of the Spanish to English handbook that you will find “Mexican Years” = “US Dollars”.
