I would love to see a new Bond series start in the mid-1950s and work its way up to the “Swingin’ ‘60s,” as Fleming’s books did. I would love to see that, but it will never happen. The 1950s and 1960s were too politically incorrect for today's woke sensibilities.

They honestly haven't even ruled out a female Bond. They just are not going to admit to it until one is cast.

The next Bond film should star Daniel Craig (a few years prior to the death) in a remake of Live and Let Die with the drug being fentanyl, and light brown people replacing dark brown people.
The remake theme would be as the original, only with Sting as the vocalist.

Really, they need to do fifties Bond, and the first story needs to be a book-accurate Moonraker, with the bridge game, Nazis, submarines and that fantastic three-way car chase.

I’ve wanted Bond to be period piece character ever since Roger Moore took over the role. Best way to avoid the constant political and cultural nonsense. No guarantee though — they could pull a “Grantchester” and be both anachronistic and depressingly gay.
