I worked with a guy who became an executive assistant to a VP at a large brokerage firm in the midwest. She had the use of the company jet to fly home to NY most weekends. She owned the apartment John Lennon owned when he was with the Beatles (not the Dakota). She bought the one next door and turned it into one condo. One weekend we were going to get together but he had to work because she stayed in town because a crew was filming a John Lennon special and she had given them access to the apartment. Always wondered what something like one apartment cost but to buy two and combine? Can’t imagine.
