“South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have broken their silence amid the show’s recent mocking of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The showrunners ignited a firestorm of controversy after parodying a privacy-seeking ex-royal couple from Canada in the Feb. 15 episode entitled “The Worldwide Privacy Tour.” The cartoon characters — who claim to want to stay out of the spotlight, but instead go on various talk shows — bore a likeness to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are famously non-private as demonstrated by their Netflix series and Harry’s memoir, “Spare.”

“It was all coming from the right, we were considered counterculture,” the animators said. “The Catholic League are always on our a-s — it kind of always came from that side.”

They both were beaten to a Pulp by Media EVERYWHERE! It was great fun watching them be humiliated!! It’s called KARMA MEGAHN!
I’m actually surprised the SP guys aren’t drawing more fire over their portrayal of trannies.
Funny 10 years ago, but they wouldn’t get away with it today. The left would be all over them.
The faith community has a right and a left as well. Which is he talking about?
Funny, I don’t remember any protests from the right when he made fun of man-bear-pig, or sally fields, barbara streisand ( all ultra left). Nope, just the left whined.
Well they name the Catholic League, which are not really very “left”, though they are a bit of a category of their own, protesting lots of things that nobody else on the “religious right” cares about at all.
Probably they’re talking about the early years of the show, when Jesus Christ was a regular character popping up now and then.
Isn't it the other way around? Don't Harry and Meghan resemble cartoon characters?
Has Muhammad appeared on South Park recently?
He must of forgot about the what what in the butt song guy suing him.

I saw the whole South Park sendup of Worldwide Privacy Tour. Very cute. Sent link to friends, but they weren’t able to see it.
I will watch satire/comey, even against all things I respect and cherish, if its intelligent.
I saw the episode about Harry and Megan, just by chance. Their take on Harry and Megan’s search for cheap publicity (while demanding privacy) was spot-on, but their attacks on them just seemed to be taunting, not humor.
Their writers just aren’t that funny.
I seem to remember the Supreme Court has already ruled that satire and parody is protected speech.
At to the fact that their royalness are public figures I don’t see the point of a lawsuit.
(So, it’s all right wingers fault?)
Apparently.
A Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy.
What “faith” are we talking about? Leftism is based on atheism.
My favorite South Park episode.

Why would anyone get worked up over a cartoon?
Some people need to have a drink or smoke a bowl and relax.
Their pedo episode (NAMBLA) was a classic.
Marlin Brando Look Alikes!
It was pretty brutal humor, funny but brutal… I can see why Meghan got upset - no mercy
