The deadly crash happened on March 18, 2021, when Shaver and another passenger, Laney Zambri, were driving on Pacific Coast Highway.
Shaver was under the influence of marijuana at the time, said the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office.
The passenger, Zambri, was standing through the car’s sunroof while filming a Snapchat video, authorities said.
As Shaver was driving, she lost control of the car and crashed, causing the vehicle to flip over.
When the vehicle flipped over, Zambri was ejected and suffered critical injuries. She was transported to a local hospital where she died days later...
As part of Shaver’s probation terms, she will be required to speak at local high schools about the dangers of impaired and distracted driving, authorities said.

That’s a one-off. The amount of people texting and driving are slaughtering people. The trucking industry will black ball you from the industry, shoot your dog, give you large fines— but no one has the courage to pass a serious state law for drivers.

Tax money from “legal” marijuana sales make politicians have a reason to not oppose the cartels distribution of illegal MJ... ...very funny cause “illegal” marijuana sales are starting to bypass the legal taxable sales in many jurisdictions.
That, and car crashs, and other mishaps put an end to post hippie/leftist/hedonistic/narrow therapeutics/ argument that legalizing rampant marijuana use will be safe for all and decrease crime, decrease misery, and raise money for the government.

When I was in high school, we had an alcoholic warn us about the dangers of alcohol. He actually made being an alcoholic sound cool.

You will NEVER stop people who want to be intoxicated by force. It is a pointless endeavour that only grows the power of government with even worse consequences for ALL.
It is like politicians calling for all these new suicide fences on bridges and more surveillance. A useless bandaid purely for show that fills the pockets of their friends instead of addressing the issue of WHY so many more people now choose death over life.
Intoxicating plants and fungi can be grown by children in a closet or under their beds. Countless even more dangerous/addictive ways to get stoned can be made from simple grocery store products. Plenty of people I know made their own as teens and sold them for more than their weight in GOLD. You are never, ever stopping that as long as people want it.
Even if you lock people in a cage and fully isolate by force, they will intoxicate themselves with fermented food, gas from the sewer drain or even their own feces.
The ONLY way to stop addiction is a deep spiritual transformation of the individual and eventually the entire nation. More government power, thugs and surveillance accomplishes the exact opposite...

And he was found not guilty also. Complete travesty of justice.
