I get where you're coming from - I went to a Presbyterian high school, and I may be the only Episcopalian child who ever received a copy of the Westminster (Shorter) Catechism as a confirmation present, from my unreconstructed Wee Free maternal grandparents. My mother was shocked at our family's conversion (no surprise); she hesitated to come to Mass for a long time; when she got there, she exclaimed in astonishment "It's just like our service." Yes, yes it is.

But none of that excuses persisting in slanderous gossip.

I’ll admit that I dont know the Catholic bible/text. I’m no Catholic scholar. I do know what my own brother dealt/deals with. And it was/is sad to watch.
