Twitter users ridiculed Vice President Kamala Harris after she voiced the concerns of young children dealing with "climate mental health" problems.
Harris mentioned the climate change-related issue during her appearance Wednesday at the "Aspen Ideas: Climate Conference" in Miami Beach, Florida.
Harris told the crowd in attendance about how she spoke to young climate activists who claim climate change is affecting their mental health.
Specifically, the activists told her they were struggling with "climate mental health," she said.
Launching into her anecdote, Harris said, "One of the young leaders was talking to me about climate mental health. I said, ‘Tell me what’s going on with your peers.’"
Speaking for the young activist, Harris repeated the concept: "Climate mental health."
She continued, "I said, ‘I think I can understand that, but unpack it for me.' And she talked about how her peers are thinking about it."
Harris said the young woman gave her an example to help her understand, saying, "One example is, you know, whether, when they’re ready, could they start a family - worried about what that would mean and the stress of it."
The vice president continued, saying, "They were talking about in terms of their peers trying to figure out, you know, they’re going to have to get a job and they’re gonna have to make a living - but what they can do and how can they adapt the education that they are having now to their activism?"
Twitter mocked the speech, with some stating that if kids are stressing about climate change, it’s because politicians like Harris have made alarmist claims about it.

Simple rule of thumb: Any social, physical, economic or mental ailment associated with climate change is communist propaganda. Disregard it.
Not mine, but the truth is that young people are being insane in civilization-destroying numbers. 40 percent of teenaged girls are suicidal. And a large portion of them are driven to despair from the unquestioned belief that they are going to die in an environment apocalypse. Of course, liberals have been threatening, “vote for us or die” since long before Ronald Reagan or Barry Goldwater.
I’m thinking that the kids are facing a whole lot more stress than just fake climate alarm, but Harris is just blaming it all on climate change.

They want to keep people in constant fear...and it works.

She’s right though - with the Leftists in FULL CONTROL of our schools and even idiot conservatives STILL dumping their kids in those schools, then yes, kids are going to be climbing up the walls regarding climate - hard to see a different outcome.
But thankfully the Left is doing something about it, making their run at Ukraine and Russia’s fossil fuels...with the worst-case outcome being a nuclear war, which will GREATLY reduce the carbon footprint of humans.
Kids ARE suffering from anxiety about the climate, because public schools are terrorizing them with this Chicken Little business night and day. The relentless message is “You live in a racist country on a dying planet!! What are you going to do about it?? Your generation has to fix it or we’re all going to DIE!!!” I mean geez, might as well hand out razor blades with breakfast.
I’ve been suffering coup d’é tat anxiety since 2020.
Kids are facing a constant fear technique to make them dependent on gummit.
Teachers and schools have created unfounded anxiety over climate, race, history, sex, and every topic they touch with their BS. It’s been a losing battle to keep up with it and deprogram our kids. Hopefully they face an accounting for their actions.
The democrat party made Biden and Harris in charge wonder how many people slit their wrists in the last two years.
“Global warming” and “man-made climate change” are “Mental Health Issues.”
