I also thought of the superficial similaries of Jesus being tortured by the Romans, judged by Pontius Pilate, declared
‘guilty’ of specious crimes and crucified on full grotesque display to all, only to resurrect and later ascend.
I had thought about that, but I didn’t want anyone here thinking that I consider comparing Jesus to Trump a fair comparison. Of course I don’t. I don’t ever deify mere mortals. No man walking the earth is Christ’s equal and never will be. Even still, the similarities were many and rather thought provoking.
