Yes , remember the days when there were three major television networks, and many people had antennas on the roof of their houses to pull in the signal?

Technology has definitely changed in recent decades and will continue to change. I’ve heard that eventually cable TV companies may go out of business, because all programming may eventually go through streaming services instead.

But they still have market share for their internet services. Comcast, Spectrum etc, FIOS is not available in many places. The satellite providers are starting to make headway with providers like Starlink.
