The wireless in your camper is as only good as its connectivity to the outside. Are you getting this from your house? Wireless is usually provided by a wired router and a cable modem, no? But those things are not mobile.
Some questions:
1. Does the campground offer wired or wireless Internet access through a Wireless Access Point (WAP)? Normally, just about every motel in the USA has some form of free wireless. Campgrounds could also, but would probably be more spread out, so may charge a fee for this, as they'll have to provide repeaters and more WAPs. If not, you will have to provide your own.
2. Does the area the campground is located in get cell service? Some places may only get Verizon but not AT&T, or vice versa, or both, or neither. Note that rural areas, where most campgrounds are located, often have poor cellular coverage.
3. If you can get cell service as discussed above, get a cell phone that you can use as a hotspot. Most iPhone and newer Androids allow this. Ensure your data plan allows a lot of bandwidth without overage charges. For example, I have and iPhone and Verizon with an unlimited data plan that I pay extra for. However, whenever I go somewhere and there is Verizon service, I have the ability to hotspot my iPhone so I can get the level of coverage I'm looking for. I can use the phone broadcasting a wireless network to my iPad and laptop and even Internet TV.
Simply put, if all these are in my camper and I'm out at some campground that is within the area of Verizon's cellular service, I can turn on my iPhone hotspot and connect to this wireless network on my iPad, Laptop and Internet TV. BUT... The speed can vary depending on the strength of the cellular broadcast.

Nothing says camping like having enough Wi-Fi signal strength and bandwidth for 4k video streaming and multiplayer gaming.

If the WIFI signal comes from the outside, you can get an external WIFI antenna and just mount it outside an open window in the RV.
Every hotel I stay in has free wireless, but it is password protected. Otherwise, people could just park right outside and watch child porn. And YES, that has happened.
I honestly doubt a campground has wireless without some security in place, just like a hotel. He’ll need a password.
I am an MCT and teach networking. EVERYBODY wants security. Only a fool would provide access without some controls.

Mcds and burger king, I suppose it is possible I have gotten the password before and it’s nationwide. Ditto my gym. I don’t think I have ever asked for password, but the phone can grab it without a problem.
Doesn’t really matter. If he walks to the campground management office and asks for the password, so what.
Well, like I said before, do rural campgrounds have wireless access with Internet available?
Some do, some don’t.
I’ve seen some campgrounds, like KOA on the beach in North Carolina, actually had twisted pair and cable tv hookups.
Then again, I camped in rural Texas, and I couldn’t even get cellular service.
