What could happen is Tesla and Elon Musk buy the Ford Factory for pennies on the dollar, Tesla seems to know how to build EV cars and sell them for a profit, plus the factory is in Tennessee which is a Right to Work state unlike California where one of his major factories is located.
I don’t know. Showwd up as a huge volume spike, and I do mean rather large.
Ford is going to provide Red Bull with Ford engines replacing Honda
Go broke?
We will be the ones to go broke. After a to big to fail government bail out.
Never considered that.
$40,000?? The Lightning is going (or not going as it were) for twice that.
Tell that to the Russians and the Ukrainians, who are fighting a war with artillery, tanks, fixed wing aircraft, and boots on the ground.
Got woke, going broke?
The first engine died at 37K, the next one died about 58K later. I don't think they've made much of a profit on this little car but they're in the car business, what do I know?
After JPMorgan activity, “things adjust.”
EV planes and tanks are going to be interesting. If they convert their ICE plants to build EV's, where is all of that ICE plant equipment going? Are they dumb enough to scrap it?
How do stocks trade “after hours” in the first place? I thought that was kind of the whole point. I mean, why is that allowed, ain’t that cheating?
“I tried to explain that Ford was in big-big trouble here on FR about six months ago. I was flamed something awful.”
I missed that thread, apparently. Ford has made some bad business decisions recently. They are discontinuing some of their most-sold models. Besides the technical problems, they are trying to appease the people who would never buy their money-making best sellers. Plus, they are discontinuing some of their most-sold models.
What buyer that needs a full-sized pick-up truck, is going to buy an EV? I suggest very few and as the problems with their performance continue to be exposed, even those numbers will go down.

_______
There is a “after-market”. Your broker has to offer it.
See below:
“Individual retail investors and institutional investors alike can trade after hours, as long as their brokerage offers it. There aren’t any restrictions on who can trade after hours, although retail investors generally weren’t able to trade after hours until mid-1999.”
Ford chose poorly.
Yea its called transition… spend money to make money you know?…. Somehow Ford will survive. They survived 2008, EVs are inevitable… even if you dont like it.
A large block such as that is usually not traded in such a manner just for the reason that it can start rumors. A trade that size is usually arranged by a broker (and not on your everday-retail TD or Robinhood trading account), who checks with other brokers to see who has a block that size they would be interested in buying or selling.
Hey, maybe someone inherited some Ford stock and just wants to dump it for cash since they do no stock trading, know nothing about it, and need the cash to pay the rent that is past due.
We couldn’t win a WWII today. We are weak, incompetent and corrupt.
Not too long ago, the envirowackos were touting Natural Gas as the ‘clean’ fuel. Large and small private companies spent BILLIONS converting gasoline, diesel engines to NG. Many city and State entities have converted trucks and machines to NG. Just as soon as the wackos convinced them to do this, President Trump set the drillers free, and we became the Saudi Arabia of NG. Inexpensive and abundant energy equals freedom and more freedom. DemocRATS despise it. So now, it’s all electric. All those BILLIONS you spent on NG....oh,well.
